Ergonomic Design and Easy-Adjust Plunge Depth
Comfortable control allows for longer work days and more exact work, and the Festool OF 2200's handles feature ergonomic grips with a 30-degree offset that helps ensure steady, natural handling. The router's controls are literally located at your finger tips--including the power trigger, the trigger lock, the plunge-depth lock, and the release trigger for the dust shroud.

The versatile and powerful OF 2200 EB offers a plunge depth of 3-5/32 inches (80 millimeters), which allows it make quick work of oversized jobs. And you don't have to worry about sacrificing accuracy for size and power, since the router's micro-adjustment knob allows you to make incredibly fine 1/256-inch (1/10-millimeter) depth adjustments.

Reproducing results quickly and accurately is simple with a four-position depth stop turret that allows you to set preconfigurable plunge depths. In addition, the locking depth-stop rod allows you to lock the OF 2200 EB in its plunged position and calibrate the plunge depth in a single step, which saves time. Plus, an integrated 5/64-inch offset position allows you to make a finish pass after your initial pass without having to reset the plunge depth.

Supportive Base for Optimum Results
The surface of the 2200 EB's supportive base glides easily, prevents scratches, and offers a flat bearing surface. Plus there's never any need to guess where the bit's center falls on your work piece, since the OF 2200 EB has a center line indention on each side of the base that provides an accurate visual reference point.

For additional flexibility and even more impressive accuracy, the OF 2200 EB is compatible with the Festool Guide Rail System and the Festool Edge Guide System (adapters and guides sold separately).

MMC Electronics for Increased Control and Extended Tool Life
Different applications place different demands on your tools, and the OF 2200 EB provides equally good results when working with a variety of materials thanks to its advanced MMC (multi-material control) electronics. It is capable of maintaining constant speeds under heavy loads, and it offers variable speed control from 10,000 to 22,000 rpm, so you can match the router's performance to the task at hand.

To make setting selection more intuitive, the router's controls are clearly labeled with icons indicating the purpose of each setting and the correct adjustment direction. Plus, an onboard cross-reference guide shows the spindle rpm for each setting.

Robust Triple-Bearing Design and Magnetic Spindle Brake
The OF 2200 EB's triple-bearing design includes bearings at the spindle's top, middle and bottom, which makes the spindle less likely to wobble. Particularly important on a high-power, high-speed router, this steadiness helps ensure precision and easy handling.

When it comes time to stop, the OF 2200 EB's magnetic spindle brake stops the spindle faster and more reliably than a mechanical or electronic brake. It also prolongs the service life of the router's motor, saving you money.

Bit, Base, and Template Changes are Fast and Easy
A 1/2-inch collet and a standard base opening of 3-3/8 inches on the standard base allow the OF 2200 EB to take advantage of a full assortment of router bits, so you can trust it to handle a broad range of applications.

Bit changes are quick, intuitive, and require just one tool, thanks to Festool's unique ratcheting collet. And changing the router's hinged bases is entirely tool free--simply use the router's spring-loaded release lever to remove the bases. When attaching a base, you simply insert the two base hinges into their slots and snap the base in place.

This base system also allows for quick access to template guides, which are secured under the base. And since the keyed, template-guide socket offers magnetic self-centering, you can always trust the accuracy of the template that's guiding your work.
